Privacy policy
This website is built to collect as little data as possible. No fonts or scripts are loaded from Google; all fonts come from this server. Statistics or marketing services are only loaded after you have given your consent.
Controller
Timo Hering, Riderhouse, address see legal notice, email: hello (at) riderhouse.band
Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Uberspace (Jonas Pasche, Kaiserstraße 15, 55116 Mainz, Germany). When you visit, the server stores technically necessary data (IP address, time, page requested, browser) in log files to ensure operation and security (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted automatically after a short time.
Stage Plot Builder
The Stage Plot Builder runs entirely in your browser. Your input (stage layout, band name, contacts) is only stored locally in your browser and is not transmitted to us. Exported files are created directly on your device. After you sign up for the newsletter, we additionally store only a note (“export unlocked”) in your browser’s local storage, not your email address.
The jsPDF library
For the PDF export, the builder loads the jsPDF library from cdnjs (Cloudflare, Inc.). Your IP address is transmitted to Cloudflare in the process.
Email contact
If you email us, we process your details only to handle your request. Our email provider is Zoho Corporation B.V. (data centre in the EU).
Newsletter and checklist
If you sign up for our newsletter (on this website or at the first export in the Stage Plot Builder), we process your email address to send you the checklist and then regular practical tips on riders, stage plots, touring and new Riderhouse templates. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
We use double opt-in: after signing up you receive an email with a confirmation link. You are only added to the list after confirming. We store the time of signup and confirmation and your IP address to be able to prove the signup.
We use Kit (ConvertKit LLC, USA) to send emails. Your data is transferred to servers in the USA. Kit uses the EU Standard Contractual Clauses; we have a data processing agreement with Kit. Kit evaluates whether newsletters are opened and links clicked so we can improve our content. More in Kit’s privacy policy: kit.com/privacy.
You can unsubscribe anytime via the link in every email or by writing to hello (at) riderhouse.band. Your address will then be removed from the list.
Consent banner (cookie settings)
On your first visit we ask whether we may use statistics and marketing services. We store your choice in your browser’s local storage (key “rh-consent”) so we don’t have to ask on every visit. This entry is technically necessary and is not transmitted to us. You can change or withdraw your choice anytime via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Statistics or marketing services are only loaded if you have agreed in the banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We currently use the following services:
Google Analytics
If you agree to the “Statistics” category, we use Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). It shows us which pages are visited how often, where visitors come from and which features are used, so we can improve the site. Google sets cookies (e.g. “_ga”, stored for up to 14 months) and processes, among other things, your shortened IP address, device and browser information and your usage of this site. Data may also be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Without your consent Google Analytics is not loaded. You can withdraw your consent anytime via “Cookie settings” in the footer.
Google Ads conversion tracking
If you agree to the “Marketing” category, we load the Google tag from Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). It lets us measure whether visitors come to the site via one of our Google ads and then sign up for the newsletter (conversion). Google sets cookies or similar identifiers and processes, among other things, your IP address, device and browser information and the fact that you clicked an ad. Data may also be transferred to the USA; Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The cookies usually expire after 90 days at the latest. Without your consent the Google tag is not loaded. You can withdraw your consent anytime via “Cookie settings” in the footer. More: policies.google.com/privacy.
Language
If you choose a language using the switcher, we store this choice in your browser’s local storage (key “rh-lang”). On your first visit we redirect you to the matching language version based on your browser’s language setting. No data is transmitted to us.
Links to shops (affiliate links)
In blog articles we link to products in online shops. Some of these links may be affiliate links: if you buy through them, we receive a small commission. The price stays the same for you. Only when you click such a link does the shop process data according to its own privacy policy. We take part in the Amazon EU Associates Programme. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Links to Amazon contain a partner ID that tells Amazon the click came from our site. After the click, Amazon uses cookies to trace where the order came from.
Your rights
