What is a stage plot?
A stage plot is a bird’s-eye sketch of the stage. It shows where instruments, amps, mics, monitors and power drops go, so sound engineers and promoters can plan the setup before the show.
How do I make a stage plot for free?
With the Riderhouse Stage Plot Builder you build your stage in the browser by drag and drop: pick a template (band, rock trio, singer-songwriter, DJ or hybrid), move the elements, add channels and power, and export as PDF or PNG. No install, no account.
What’s the difference between a stage plot, an input list and a tech rider?
The stage plot shows where everything stands on stage. The input list (channel list) lists every channel on the desk with its source and mic. The tech rider is the band’s complete technical document and contains both, plus requirements for PA, monitoring, lights and backline.
Do DJs need a stage plot too?
Yes. A DJ setup needs space, power and monitoring too: a table or DJ booth, players, mixer, laptop and booth monitor. The builder has dedicated DJ and hybrid templates.
When should I send my stage plot to the promoter?
At least two weeks before the show, as a PDF with date, version number and a contact person for questions. That gives the local crew time to prepare everything.

I know the business from every side. That experience goes into every tool here, so your band comes across as professional from the very first contact.
